  • UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: updating render lights

We are getting this error all the time with few new scenes.
I think the problem is connected to one spotlight with old shadow map and
volume light. It renders fine allmost everything, but in some frames it's giving this error.

(btw, I really need that spot and old volume light, so I don't want
    to render passes with envfog.)

It's jamming our network renderings, so I would like to find a way over it.

    Any ideas?

Can you get me a scene for this to vlado@chaosgroup.com?

    Best regards,

I can't because of NDA, but I try to reproduce that in some simple scene.

      Thanks,

Stripped file is sent to you.

Error seems to happend when rendering with backburner.

        I hope you'll find solution.

Finally after hard testing we found the reason.

Pflow particles had shape "Letters Arial" and that caused the error.
Now when we changed particle shape to cube, it renders just fine.

I think that next we will creat own 3D letters and use those as Shape Instance.

Still wondering why particle shape caused that kind of error?

it could be that that font is missing on the render nodes which would cause the error.

Actually it happend when rendering with local workstation too,
              so that isn't the reason.

Heh, and anyway I haven't seen windows computer without Arial installed.
