    Hi

Can anyone explain to me how to get a normal Vray material from these settings on the attached screenclip as imported from Revit 2010?

    Regards

Do you mean just the color? Or all of the other settings:

For the color, using a VRayColor in the diffuse map gives similar options:

Another way requires Max 2010 to use the new Color Correction map. Copying and pasting this color gives these numbers in the regular color selector (3rd image).

hi, you only have to multiply your colorchannel by 255... red: 0.827x255=211 etc. like this you get the right rgb levels for your color...

I'm confused, how did you get the color values to display as float in max??

edit: I see, it's in the pro materials only.

anyway, the most simple way would be copy/paste the color (right click on the color in the mat. editor), or use the color picker.

I stumbled on the copy/paste method as well. Thanks!

I've tried the scene converter on this file but it does nothing. The file was a 250MB FBX file from Revit 2010. I am now manually doing it... yay!
