VrayProxy Properties DO NOT STICK

I am having heaps of issues with vray proxies with assigning g-buffer properties and other object related properties - they just don't stick.

Can someone try to assign a g-buffer id (other than 0) in the object properties of a Vray proxy, save the file and the re-open and check the id.

No matter what I set, when I re-open the file its back at 0.

What is going on!

xp 64 bit, Max Design 2009, Vray sp3a.

Please sone one help - I am trying to send some animations off urgently.

I have tried it and the ID sticks to the proxy - and thats for static and animated proxies.
