Reset VRay Render setting as a default, randomly

Hi all,

I don't know why, but sometimes, when I open a working files (with my setting), the VRay rendering settings return to the default.

(*) AA adaptive subdivision
(*) No gamma setting
(*) No GI
(*) etc...

I never install on my Workstation any DEMO or illegal version of VRay. Only VRay 1.5 SP3a and VRayRT. It's very strange (and annoying )

Any suggestion?

it's not only one files, but some files. And theese files are usually very big. 150-200 MB with +100 bit proxy, displacement, high res textures. It's very difficult for me to found the problem, because it's a random problem...

It's possible, when 3ds max crash, I open the 3ds max files and all settings are to default?

do you imported some models ? or scene parts via merge ?

Again! I think when I save the file (I don't know if I save as a new file or the same, nut now I will see every time). But now, again, VRay has a default setting!
Yes, I use some commercial and free model from the web.

Hi,

again with VRay 1.5 SP4a. It's a 160MB exterior scene. Some proxy, grass displacement, but nothing to special, no texture. The file crash sometimes, but after 2 weeks of work, now, ramdomly, when I save, VRay return to the default setting

Is it a crash, or resetting of the parameters? Are you the only person working on that file?

yes, only me and in the same Workstation (dualXeon Quadcore 5440+12GB RAM + WinXP 64bit). About the previous 3ds max crash, it's for come strange boolean operation. But the geometries now ( I hope ) are ok.
The resetting parameter is random. Usually Iuse a shortcut for save (CTRL+S) every, I don't know, 10-15 minutes. And, I don't know when, sometimes the VRay setting are reset to the default.
I think also that after some the 3ds max crash, the file is automatically set to the default. The file, it's 125MB without proxy and texture.

Hm, can't see how V-Ray would cause that; the reset code is present only in the demo version so there is no possibility for it to be executed by mistake. If you look at the V-Ray log file right after this happens, what does it say?

Find the problem. It was the Lele script "VRay Switches" for reset all the material in the Material Editor from Standard to VRayMaterial. When you click, the script reset VRay to default setting.
