  • BerconMaps in VrayBlend/VrayMtl - possible issues

    Hi,
I recently made a scene, where I`m using BerconMaps ( BerconGradient specifically ) inside a VrayMtl which is inside VrayBlend ( Base & Coat ). This scene won`t open again, but if i remove BerconMaps from Max plugins folder, the scene will sucesfully open. I tried to reproduce this on plain scene, but it seems to be working. Dunno where is the problem then. I attached a matlib ( max 2009 & 2010 ) - those matlibs won`t open for me as long the BM are active in plugins.

It was tested with BerconMaps build 16.04.2009 Version 2.0b on pure install of Max 2009 + SP2 & Max 20109 + SP3, both under Vista SP1, all x64 versions.

    So far,
    murko

Yes, BerconGradient is particularly nasty in some spots (ie. composite map). I think I had this exact same issue once and had to remove the plugin from the directory for it to open. Unfortunately, i'd stay away from that one (the others are fine, Tile, Noise, etc.), unless you have some coding experience. If you do, the source is available to install the Max SDK, fire up vis studio and debug it :P

      George,
thats really sad, but BGradient is imho the most useful from the whole BMaps. Particullary the random gradient key/color/map mode is priceless.
