  • Comping difference between RAW VRay Passes and Straight?

    Hi all

What is the difference between the RAW element passes in Vray and the normal passes? I'm getting no success comping the RAW passes in photoshop but comping the normal passes works fine.

    I'm using:
    VrayDiffuseFilter

Then according to Chris Nichols comping tut you should use the RAW passes:
    VrayRawLighting
    VrayRawGlobalIllumination
    VrayRawReflection

I multiply and add as expected and the result is messed up.

    BUT
When I use Shimakaze's tools his tools doesn't support RAW passes except for RawLighting.
So I use the normal ones except for the RAWLighting and it works fine in photoshop.

How can I use the RAW passes as per Chris Nichols tut in Photoshop?

    (I'm using Vray 1.5 SP3, LWF with dont affect colors(adaptation only)ticket)

For the raw passes you'll need to also make the filter for each element too - multiply the raw by the filter so it gets darkened down, then add the result over the rest of your comp. Again you might get varying results over how different it is from the original but the raw passes are more flexible.
