  • Flickering Animation_static noise

Yes I know it's been talked about on the forums but I still don't have a solution to the problem..

there is this static noise effect on the displaced grass (same problem when I use Autograss) whenever I do animations - static cam movement

I've tried a number of things:
    1. Tried different antialiasing filters
    2. Disabled "View dependent" under displacement settings
    3. Upped dmc settings from min samples 8 to 16 and Global subdivs multiplier to 2
    4. Increased sunlight sudivs from 3 to 8
    5. Played around with secondary rays bias

Still the problem persists - I'm using "medium animation preset" baked irr map (10 frames) and lightcache files, vray sun with physical cam..

    Any advice?

i've found it to be caused by IR map quality... try High quality

i've even had one difficult case where i had to render the IR pass at double the res and high quality to get it flicker free. (also maybe 10 frames is too much?)

dont forget you cannot render this way with backburner you need to use DR or only one machine.
