  • loft on rounded objects

i can`t manage it that the curb keeps it`s the iterations of the straigt parts over the rounded parts.
i control the mapping with the mapping possibilty in the loft parameters.

Seems to be working ok over here....
    (screenshoot shows settings as well)
Was your original shape edited in any way.. or an imported line.. if so, mabee a <reset xform> could help.

Is your path really long by any chance? We always get this with very long curb paths. Its a pain in the ****

Do you have "normalize" off eventually ? It is supposed to try and keep distances equal with varying segment lengths

          thanks for your replies,
i had "normalize" unchecked and that was the cause why the mapping didn`t work on the rounded parts.
@tricky: my path is very long, that was also the reason why i made the mistake to uncheck normalize. i tried uvw mapping coordinates and with normalize checked i saw no map, i had to reduce the lenght repeat 0,025 to see the map again.

got a tip for another possibility which works fine for me too.
sweep modifier, in parameters check "generate mapping coordinates" and adjust the mapping in the mad editor

Instead of adjusting the mapping in the material you can add a "UVW Xform Modifier" instead.

thanks for the tip, saves me to make a special curbmaterial for each bounded curb.
