  • combine vrayedgestex+bump map

i use a material with vrayedgestex in bump to give objects a rounded look on their edges. now i want to use also a bump map in this material. how can i manage this?

I think the trick was to use a Mix map.

    Best regards,

hi Vlado, any plan to simplify this process in the future?
maybe rounded edges as an option and not as a map?

        visit

        www.peterguthrie.com

there is a tutorial there....u have to use classical UV mapping instead of real world...for some reason i did not manage it to make it work in reald world scale

This is easy as pants. Put vrayedgestex in a vraycomptex, with it in slot a, and set blend to additive. If you want more just make slot b a composite map!

I cannot seem to make it work with RGB multiply. Is the vray comp the way to go?

Vlado, the mix map would mix the black of one map, with the white of another and give gray correct? In this case do we achieve the desired effect of having the black of either map by doubling the bump value?
