  • VFB doesn't save tiff 16bit

    hello all

It's very frustrating because if I render with VFB and save the image to a tif 16bit it always saves the tif file as 8bit.

is this a known problem? I don't know how to save it as 16bit because I render over backburner.

    best regards

You can always save it to 16-bit PNG; in any case the saving is done by 3ds Max itself, V-Ray always provides 32-bit floating-point output.

is this still a known problem? because we are experiencing inconsistent 16bit tiff saves. sometimes they only save to 8bit when the 16bit was selected

I think it's more of a 3ds Max issue; there's nothing in particular that we can do about it unfortunately.
