If you plug a falloff map set to "Shadow/Light" into the light map of a vray ambient light I'm getting a hard exit out of max whenever I hit render (the other falloff modes work fine). This is on a simple scene - just a teapot and a plane on Max9 x64. Just noticed this playing around with sp4 so no real headache.

In this particular case, you get infinite recursion (i.e. in order to calculate the light, you need to calculate the falloff map, but in order to calculate the falloff map, you need the light). It's similar to using VRayDirt for displacement...
