3dsm ax always running

ok....blonde moment.... it has been a while, but I have a machine that we are updating vray on and it has 3ds max running and every time I end process, it starts up again.... how did I do this and how do I stop it... vray installs, but can not find the license or something.

Do you have backburner or distributed rendering running? That may be why it keeps re-opening an instance of max. Close down your Vray DR spawner and Backburner server first if they're running and see if that helps.
