  • Problems with VrayRefraction Render Element

    Hi there,

when I`m rendering two glass windows behind each other (e.g. the front an side window of a car), I got strange lines in my VraReflection Render pass, as you can see in the image. Increasing the "Max depth" Value in the Refraction Material rollout doesn`t change anything. Any suggestions ?

    Thanks for answering

Can you do a blowup render of that area? It's a bit hard to see, other than the fact that there is some kind of moire pattern there.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Hi Vlado,

this is a bigger Version of the image, it looks more like a grid or something, I have no idea....

Do you have a bump map or something for the reflections?

        Best regards,

No map is involved, it`s a simple glass material with fresnel reflections and full (255) refraction with IOR 1,6. Maybe the HDRI map in the VrayDomelight is an issue ?

Not sure; it would be best if you can get us that part of the scene to vray@chaosgroup.com so that we can check out what may be wrong.

            Best regards,
            Vlado
