  • how to avoid distortion with vraycam?

hi, i face the problem that my image looses the right proportions on the right and left end of the image. espacially in the foreground on the left side the windows of the ground floor seem to be for midgets.
i use a vraycam and always face this problem, in the image you see my vraycams settings and the postion of the cam.
is it the problem that the cam is too near to the house?

Yeah the camera is too close to the house and the camera settings are really zoomed out. I would leave the film gate at the default 36 and just lower the focal length. I am using film gate: 36 and focal length: 24 for am image I am working on now and think the distortion is not bad. I had to push the camera farther away from the house, and also tried different Image Aspects to be able to fit everything in view. Using an Output Size preset of "4"x5" or 8"x10" (slide)

Try cloning the camera you have and changing the film gate and focal length and start pushing back the camera to see if it helps.
