  • opacity map visible in viewport

i made a material with an opacity map. in the materialeditor slot i see how the opacitymap affects the material, but not in the viewport.
first when i render i see how the material works with uvw mapping on an object. is there a possibility to see this also in the viewport`?
    is that what vray-rt makes?

VRay materials don't have viewport opacity supported. This would be a really, really great feature but i remember Vlado saying something about it being kind of a MAX thing not a VRay thing...not 100 percent sure on that though.

Keep in mind that you can see the Opacity Map itself in the viewport (just turn it on in the map level in the material), but you cannot see its transparent effect until render time, or of course in RT.
