  • Brute force secondary vs Light cache secondary, brightness change

I don't know if it's something I'm doing, but i'm seeing significant scene brightness changes between BF and LC as the secondary bounce engine.

LC is much brighter, by some order of magnitude.

Sub pixel mapping is off, and everything else is standard settings. It's just a vray light in a box with a sphere, vray materials and vray camera not using exposure, but it does the same using a perspective window and a max camera.

    Latest vray and max 2009.

    Any ideas?

The reason for this, is that LC simulates infinite bounces.

ah ok, so it's not really intended as a replacement engine, more of a solution to a different set of needs.
