  • Illuminated glass

Hoping one of you guys/girls can help me with this. I have a lot of coloured glass pendant lights in my scene and applying a vray sphere light to al of them is going to take forever aswell as bumbping up the render times to something rediculous. Is there a way I can get the effect of these lights being illuminated without applying a light to each one. I'm not that fussed about the lights illuminating the scene-I just need them to look as if they are lit up.

Like the new style forum by the way......groovy.

You could also try to use the new VRayLight Geometry mode. Attach a copy of all the pendants into a single mesh and use it as a the source object for the VRayLight, it worked pretty well for us in a recent project.
