  • cannot get license

    Hi,

I can't seem to get a license. I updated to sp4a. I am using max2009 64bit. When I render i get error: could not obtain a license (0). Any ideas? The WIBU-KEY server is running along with VRLservice.

    Thanks,
    Brian

Did it work before? Did you update the license server as well? Are you able to connect to the V-Ray license server web page?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Yeah, it worked before; just lately it hasn't been giving me a license. I updated everything that was included in the SP4a download. Is there a separate download for the license server? What or where is the V-Ray license server web page?

      thanks for your help,
      Brian

The license server web page appears when you open a web browser and type http://servername:30304 as the address where servername is the IP address of the license server, or 127.0.0.1 if it is running on the same machine. Can you tell me what is the contents of this web page right after you get an error (you can send it to vlado@chaosgroup.com).

It is possible that it is a dongle problem; in that case please email us to vray@chaosgroup.com to arrange a replacement.

          Best regards,
          Vlado
