  • VRay on two machines (Workstation and Laptop)?

I have VRay with the dongle set up on my workstation but would like to set it up on my Laptop too for the time I'm on the road. I find the installation guide online for a single workstation installation which i have done but i can't find how to install it to refer to the license server on the workstation machine.

Can i just install the full installation on the notebook and carry the dongle with me when i'm not at home to obtain a license on the Laptop or do i need to have the workstation at home running to point the Laptop to it's running license server?

Hope that's easily possible with just carrying the dongle with me

    kind regards,
    Anselm

You can just install the full workstation installation on your laptop and carry your stick with you, when back at home you can switch the stick again. I always install as licence server, this way I can use it as workstation and licence server where my other computers are pointing to. Be carefull though, because if you lose your stick you lose your licence if I am correct.

Simply do a full installation on your notebook, plug the dongle and up you are. Where is the problem?
