  • spots on animation [following spot3d.com tuts]

    Hi,

I have followed the tutorial "Rendering a walk-through animation" from spot3d.com but after many test i get those spots in the following exterior scene, i dont get those spots when rendering single frames on "Single" mode so i understand it's a problem with the LC....?¿

This is what i get (this is an ortographic camera, with a perespective animation in the same scene didn't have problems)

    animation frame:

a single frame with Single mode:

Have read a lot but without a solution.....
    Regards,
    thanks

What are you're GI settings? Are you just using LC? I recommend using Irradiance map as your as your primary bounces and light cache as your second. I usually set my IRR to 60/30 and my light cache to 1500.
From the look of the images that you provided these settings should be enough to not warrent an animation pre pass. But If you really need to do an animation pre pass do this:
Send an Irrandiance map with the animation pre-pass setting. (See attached). Make sure that when you send the IRR pre-pass that you using Medium- animation not medium and don't forget to check " Dont render final image".
After you've sent the IRR sequence change the mode to animation rendering and path it to the correct folder.
Turn back on your light cache...i use 1500 subdivs. Keep mode to single frame in light cache.
Uncheck " Dont render final image"
Now I've seen a bunch of ways to do this, but this gave me pretty good results..
I'm sure there will be other people telling you to do it a different way. The only thing i can say is "try them all".

    Good luck

I didn't try this method, you are talking about the spot3d tut. for moving objects animation no? I tried the IM+LC tut from 3dspot for static animations and brute force+brute force but no luck with those. With BF+BF goes ok but get some flickering.

It's about the scene, the geometry and ortographic view i think, we test some times without succes. Here is the scene if someone want ttry it_ http://dina0.com/P1.4.rar

Thanks you very much for your attention,

I think it might be because of the orthographic camera, but will take a closer look.
