    How do you mean on a flash? The only way we access render machines is through vnc, they're totally locked away. They have max & vray on, thats it.

    Trickey - been and tested all that, it's not a network issue.

      I just had another look through the farm machines and think I found the problem - theres a few of them that have managed to aquire 60+gb of temp files.

      The files are named 'cr###' and dont have an extension - and all of them have been created within the last few weeks.
      This is pretty weird tbh - does anyone know what is creating them?

        I've had the same sort of problem...while rendering a large number of trees, the render times gradually increase from 6 to 30 minutes p/f, and this isn't based on what's in the scene. The paging files are all set to 4096mb, so I don't get what the problem is.

          with page files i have found it best to leave them as "system managed" that way if a scene needs a little more page file windows will allocate a little more
