  • Bug/problem with the Vray Environment Fog and Z-depth passes

There seems to be a bug with the Vray Environment Fog and Z-depth passes.

As you can see by the attached image, the Fog seems to be affecting the Z-Dpth pass when 'ENABLE FILTERING is turned on.
It works fine if Filtering is turned off.....it just does it when filtering is turned on [which I need for opacity mapped leaves.

I have been able to reproduce it consistantly since I discovered it last week, so I guess it's not really a bug just the way it currently works....can we have this changed/fixed please vlado??

    Vray 1.5 sp4

    Thanks

Jumping on the VrayFog issues wagon...

If anyone else can confirm this, if you scale an object for use as a vrayfog gizmo, you will get funky effects with the lights. Usually it becomes unusually bright and seems to not be taking shadow from the lights. I'm getting these results while uses spheres as gizmos with very low fog distance.

The z-depth thing is normal; it follows the same logic as for transparent objects. About the gizmo scale, I will have to check this out.

      Best regards,
      Vlado
