VFB save png as grayscale?

is it possible? you can tick grayscale in png setup when saving from VFB, but i've never got this to work...."sorry, can't write output"

I can't reproduce the problem - it seems that all png configurations work. Could you provide more information, if possible - 3ds max version, render configuration... ?
