  • DR slaves not writing to file

I've searched the forum for information for this problem but didn't find anything.

What appears to be happening is that my DR slaves are not saving their buckets to the exr file. I watch the file render on screen but the finished exr file is no where near the size it should be and I can't open the file to view it either.

    Has anyone experienced this?

Are you saving to an OpenEXR file from the V-Ray frame buffer (the raw file option)?

    Best regards,

I have just received an error on my most recent render

error: [VFBCore::SetRegion] Error writing render region to raw image file. [ExrFile::WTRegion] Error writing tile to .exr file.

I am rendering the entire frame by the way.

Did you find a solution? the only thing I can do when this happens at this point is save it from the buffer after it is completed. that seems to work fine but I'd like it to do it automatically.

I haven't been able to track down this issue, but it seems like .vrimg files are more reliable in that respect.

I'm also getting this but we're using the vrimg format.
