  • why is hdri so zoomed?

    hi there,
I´m using an hdri map on a vray dome light, but is kind o huge as you can see in the image... is there a way to make the map size correct?
the map is set to spherical environment.
    the unit are in meters.

    thanks

I think you have to find out the HDRI's camera settings and match it.

It looks really low -res more than zoomed to me.

remember spherical HDRI have to be a huge res to use it as a background!

emphasis on Huge (Remember, it's the entire background 360deg. that's a wide image)

I think the problem lies in the fact that in that particular HDRI the objects (trees?) were much closer to the camera when the HDRI was taken than the distance shown in your model relative to your building. But yes, you also need a much larger image if you're going to use it as your background. Better to comp in post and just use the HDRI to add colour to your scene.
