  • Different reflections between two renders...

    Hi everybody,
I encountered a problem with a render of a product in grass. The problem is in the reflection. With the local render in my machine(see the top image attached), the reflection is good. When i do a net render in one machine(try both with and without calculate prepass of irradiance map and lightcache), the reflection is not the same and i don't understand why. Is-it a bug? Maybe vlado has an idea?

    Scene spec : 3ds max 2010 x64 SP1 with Vray SP4a
Object and shader spec : editable poly - Vray shader with reflection and a bit of refraction with fog color to obtain an object slightly translucent.

    Someone have an idea ?

Would you have a map in the env. reflection slot that your slave rendering machine can not see?

Yep, looks like the net machine can't see a HDR map or something. Check all your paths are UNC'd

Thank you for your response thablanch and tricky.
So, after reading your post, i checked the env. maps. I have VraySky in the Environment Map's Background. It's ok. Then I have a sky map in the Vray's Reflection environment override. I had all maps in one folder but I had this sky map in another folder but the path was good so when I started a net rendering with include maps checked, the render should have taken into account the sky map. But not. It's very strange. That's what i did with the next test : I put the sky map in the same folder like the others. I put the right path for the sky map. I hit a new net render and this time it worked. The reflection was good. But to start the path was good for this map. I don't understand. Maube a bug.

Thank you again and at the next on this wonderfull forum.
