Vray fur with VRayVelocity bug?

I figured that SP5 would correct this but I seem to still be having issues with the way VrayFur is handled by the VrayVelocity render element. It appears that the VrayFur has a much higher velocity than the surrounding geometry. If fur is off, MaxVelocity is around 25. With it off, MaxVelocity is around 425,000. Is this a known bug and is there a workaround?
