I have popped a digital image of our site into the environment slot. It is the background for our site model. The vray camera has been matched to the camera i used to take the image. I have popped the vray sky into the vray environment slot and unticked the "affect" background" in the vray mapping dialogue. All is well. i get the background image with my model as i expect....but...no matter what i do, the glass in the highrises will not reflect the vray sky. instead it gives me blackness. If i take the background image out of the max environment slot and put the vray sky there, i get reflected sky...but no background image. How do i get the background image AND the vray sky reflection?

To get the sky in reflection/refraction use the VraySky in Reflection/refraction environment override.
It's on the Vray tab of the Render Setup, Vray Environment rollout.

    Hope this helps

      That was it, Thanks.
(DOH! That solution was too obvious! Things like this have me wondering if "senior moments" are coming on a little early for me. Thanks for bearing with my lack of thinking.)
