My Server running win 7 (64) with MaxD2011 and vray 1.5sp5 and RT sp2 DIED
....I now have a new i7 clone of my workstation to act as the server
Also new to the mix is a qnap NAS storing the data.
But I can't get Vray to backburn or DR or even RT from the new machine. Fresh install of win7, MaxD2011 installed as unregistered and renderslave install of vray (which was how I had the server before, expect it would have had MaxD2010 on there and and upgrade from sp4)
- I can scanline backburn from both the server and the workstation.
- I can vray backburn from the workstation (BB manager on the server)
- I can't vray backburn from the server (BB manager on the server) max not responding and the manager and server both hang.
-I can vray DR from the workstation but only the workstation contributes - vray message says: "the scene loaded; render started", but no server buckets and no cpu usage on the server.
If I try RT I don't get any contribution from the server either, the cmd shell reports the scene is empty - if I then stop the current RT and try another one, the cmd shell on the server says: warning: DR request received from (the workstation IP), but currently busy with 0.0.0.0
I've tried the scene (only simple cubes) with and without textures to hopefully rule out the NAS causing an issue.
I now at a loss? Help!
