  • HELP ! 1 animation 2 problems : vibrating reflect, antialiasing... maybe more ?

    Hello everybody,

I've a very big problem with the render of a sequence. I need to render a lot of image for Monday and i really need help !!

    http://mathieucassan.com/vray/help.mp4

As you will see in the linked file
1°) a part of the neon (the thinnest lines) appear and disappear continually. I'm sure it will stop if the render size is increased but i can't cause render will be to long... What can i do ?
2°) there a vibrating parasite effect which maybe come from the flickering of the hamburger board. But i already did a massive blur of the image in photoshop. So i can't understand why is vibrating so much. The reflect of the edge of the board is vibrating to.

I always use those kind of parameters for vray and now i met trouble witch remind an AA filter problem... Who Can help me ??

About the scene, i'm using 1.5 sp5 on max 2010. I'm using a GI with Irradiance Map (single frame, medium animation) as primary and Brute Force as secondary bounces.
The reflective/refractive map and the light in the scene are around 20 subdivides.
There is a video in slots of Vray Environment.
Image Sampler is Adaptive Sub. with native parameters and the AntiAliasing filter is Video (4px).

No idea for the 1°) but fort the 2°) I think the main problem came from the vibrating effect due to flickering. The angle of surface are never smooth, there is some stairs like we see when there's anti-aliasing failure. Who can say ?

Sorry for my newbie problem... Help !

I would change the AA to adaptive dmc, I would try with 2/5 and color thresh of 0.007
adpative sub may flicker because of the undersampling.

    hope this helps.

I agree with maxxer ...it looks like under-sampling is causing the issue.

Change sampler to DMC & I would also drop the threshold even lower to around .001 or .002 [as .007 will still leave a lot f noise]

      Hope this helps
