  • RPC Issues with VrayPhysicalCam Spherical type

Currently RPC's used in a scene with a Vray Camera with Spherical mode, will only be rendered if the RPC's are visible in the viewport. The viewport will typically only show a portion of the rendered spherical picture, so there are RPC's missing from my rendered scene. Using Max2011 x64, Vray Adv. 1.5 SP5.

Checking 'Cast reflections' for only the RPC's not currently in the viewport is a workaround, it will render them, but mirrored across their local X-axis.

If I rotate an RPC that's not in viewport about 180 degrees, and check 'reflections' then I get almost the result I was expecting. Rotating 180 isn't the same as an X-axis mirror, but for a lot of RPC's that won't be too noticable.

I've discussed this issue with Jon Anderson from Archvision, and according to him it's a Vray issue. Hope this can be solved.
