  • IRR Map / LC animation precalc problem (could not load irradiance map)

    HI,

I´m trying to get a GI precalculation done for a scene but getting problems everywhere.

Tried to follow the tutorial: http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/150S...ials_anim2.htm
and I think there are some errors in the tutorial. It states that mode should be set to
"Animation (rendering)" but instead should be "Animation (Prepass). Also there are all
    example images,animations and files missing.

Anyway, current Problem is that the precalculated irradiance map could not be loaded.
I´ve tried to precalc the irr map with "use camera path" on one single frame with a pre-calculated
LC file. No chance to load the irr map.

Are there any other useful tutorials for rendering animations with GI and moving objects ?

Currently the GI maps already render up to 10 min. per frame (1280x720) ... not really usable.

    Any help is appreciated.

I have the exact same problem. When I did the Animation (Prepass) mode, it generated separate vrmaps for each Nth frame. When I had set it to render in Animation (render) mode, I get the same error. So my question is how do I load the vrmaps generated?
I did use Net Rendering with Backburner, but only submit it to one computer and it uses vRay's DR to utilize other computers.

make sure the anim prepass file load as the original xxxx.vrmap try not to load the ones with frames number (ie: _026.vrmap unless you are rendering without interpolation)
