Do you get any error messages, either in the ActiveShade window or in the RT server window? Do you see a vray.exe process in the Task Manager? If yes, try terminating it and starting the ActiveShade again.

This happens to me sometimes if the vrayrt shell (cmd) crashes. The window stays open in the taskbar but the program has crashed. I find if I close the cmd window and activeshade, then restart it that it works fine. I've also noticed some system processes prevent it from working right. If that doesn't work I save the file, reopen and voila, it works.

Hi, the vrayrt shell (cmd) does not open ....in task manager vray.exe process it's run.....but the activeshade it's open, but don't start any render,I try to uninstall and intall RT, I try to close and open the activeshade, but nothing happens ...Can you enter in my pc whit remote desktop to resolve the problem?can I help you in some way to understand the problem?

I think at this point I can only format the pc !!!!

It would be best to get someone from our office on the phone to help you with this; you can call any of the phone numbers on our web site, or you can email us to vray@chaosgroup.com and the guys can arrange the remote desktop thing.
