  • SP5 dr server fails

I am trying to set up a DR server on a machine. It's running a 32bit version of max, and im giving the task from a 64bit rig. This used to work before.

I get the brown line stating that the scene has loaded and has started rendering, but then the next one is also brown and says "render completed". The next one is a warning saying that the host is not responding.

I can't seem to run a job through backburner either though. It says its missing plugins but it doesnt state which ones.

Can backburner work between 32bit and 64bit? I just created a simple sphere in an empty scene and tried rendering it with scanline, how come its asking for plugins?

I kept looking at the spawner txt file, but now i took a look at vray txt and it seems to be a licence issue. The firewall on the machine is turned off, how can i check if it can obtain the licence or not if its a render slave?

My issue was an improperly set up licence on the slave. Now i have a whole bunch of different issues. At one moment, everything worked just fine, i had 4 machines rendering one image flawlessly. They even read the proxy along with a bunch of maps.

Then they started failing, and now one persists. After reseting the spawner, and eventually the machine, it accepts the connection, but it doesnt read any of the files. Even though it worked just an hour ago. I have my local drived mapped as S: on every machine, and i can access it fine from that particular slave.

                *edit*

I even opened the scene through the network on the render slave, and it works, and renders fine.
