    following situation:

    i have a scene set up with vrayphysicalcam and need to render out self illuminated objects.
    i disabled the exposure settings in the vrayphysicalcam and used standart materials with self-illumination set to 100%.

    this worked well but the brightness is wrong. when i compare it to the vray diffusefilter renderpass the colors are 20% too dark.

    the reason i can't use the diffusefilter pass is cause there are opacity maps used and the diffuse filter ignores these.

    got it!

    i did not have my worflow set to 100% linear.
    also disabling indirect illumination does the trick.

    hope this info helps someone else some day.
