This is a MAX problem but I think a lot of you have it.
I use MAX 2009 on Vista 64 and GeForce 275.
It occurs usually after a while in a new scene, and even before I add any lights. My perspective viewport where I look at the shaded 3D scene will go extremely light, and then back to normal. Usually if I switch it to full screen, from 4 screens. Sometimes it will do that when I select or sub an object, sometimes it will go away if I just move it a bit. It looks as if a 1000 lights were turned on, and only dark surface are still visible, everything else turns white. I tried switching on the default lighting 1, AND 2 lights, and that will help for a short while and then back on.
I didn't follow the RT when it came out but I guess that would be one solution, but maybe you guys now a MAX solution? I posted this on Autodesk and CG talk and no one knows how to fix it. And Autodesk is not Chaos group so they don't care about any bugs what so ever
I hope it's ok that I posted this here
