  • Trying to get DOF

I'm using vray camera of course, and I enabled it. Now at first I was in hyperfocal, but then I tweaked that with few options. focal distance to 200mm, then I had to reduce zoom to 0.11 to get a nice wide view, and then I reduced the f-number to a low value, like 0.1 or something at which point the scene became really dark. Is that normal? Exposure is off. It seams as if it's a bug. So then I increased the f back above 1, but tweaked other settings to get the small DOF but still nothing, everything is in focus. Hm, DOF is visible during the rendering? It's something done at the end of it?

DOF is usually a small effect in the real world, unless you do macro photography, so it's quite normal.

    Best regards,

But I adjusted the settings so that the camera planes are pretty close, like 1.5m so I should get nice DOF? I get nothing, as if something is not on. Also, is it normal that my scene became dark with really low f number? The exposure is off.
