  • hair&fur causing problems with changing geometry

I am currently setting up a scene with two characters with hair&fur using the mr-prim mode.
once you move the timeslider away from frame one all geometry with changing topology like the bodies with skin modifier or cloth objects get invisible in the rendering.

The only way to get them to render is to hide the hair or put a meshsmooth modifier on top of the stack of these objects.

Turbosmooth won't work, it has to be a meshsmooth modifier and nothing else above it in the stack.
The problem is not memory related, objects disapear even when i set the amount of hair very low.

I am using max2011 with the newest vray and have resetted the ui like in the sticky post in this section.

Did anyone else notice this or is there a problem with my scene?
The scene is already very heavy with all the morph targets and clothing and i don't need the extra meshsmooth modifiers in the stack.

I did some testing and i can not reproduce the error in a new scene with a new skinned character and hair&fur.
So there is something wrong in my production scene.
I will try to isolate the problem by deleting objects.
    Reflect, repent and reboot.
    Order shall return.
