  • Changed the PowerSupply - Dongle not recognised ?

    Hello

Yesterday I took my PC to the lab to change the PoswrSupply which broke and at home, after re-plugging the dongle - Vray just doesn't see it.
I reinstalled both Vray and WIBU and restarted it , re edited the license key file (the one with Localhost and 30304)
Also , I tried accessing it from the browser :
    http://localhost:30304

    NOTHING !!!

    HELP !!!!

have you tried it in other USB ports?
Do other USB devices work since you changed the PSU?

Did it work ok on the other PC? Are you able to see the dongle in the Device Manager?

        Best regards,
        Vlado

          Vlado

I only see under the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" the name: "WIBU-BOX/RU"

On the other PC I tried calling it in the browser but I did not install the WIBU drivers - Should I ?

EDIT: When I un-plug the dongle the "WIBU-BOX/RU" disappears and returns when I replug it so I guess the dongle is seen.

Ok, so when you run the V-Ray license server, does it show any warnings?

            Best regards,

Hm, that means that the dongle is recognized properly. When you try to go to the license server web page, what do you get?

                Best regards,

It almost looks like some firewall issue...

I turned the Firewall off and still Vray will not get its license.
(Windows Firewall is always OFF and I turned the Kaspersky's Firewall off as well)

Ok; what is the error code returned by V-Ray when you try to render?

                        Best regards,

On the render setup dialog I don't see the VRAY specific screens.
when I press render I get:

                          "Could not obtain a license"
