  • Render to texture failing

    Render to texture crashes my max. I get a brief vray message (reported by vray, but not caused by vray) but it stays on for a second, so i can't really read what it says.

    I'm trying to do a projection map in order to get a normal map, height map, but i'd also like a diffuse map with shadows and shades.

        I'll send you the scene, but I managed to nail one cause for this. The projection geometry is casting a shadow on my highres object, i tried to untick "renderable" in the projection object but that definitely causes a failure. Right now i solved it by applying a fully transparent material onto the projection object.

          I have simmilar problem, Im only using Indirect Ilumination (no lights in scene) and I have default GI eviroment (skylight overide) enablem, and when i click to render it writes me an error: UNHALTED EXCEPTION: Compiling geometry Last marker is at ./src/vrenderlight.cpp, line 460: VRenderLightObj: update(). Im using 3dsmax 2011 x64 and vray 2.0 beta
          I tryed also add some defaults lights but it crashes aswell

          Please Vlado, can it be fixed? The render to texture is very important thing..
