  • Initial buckets are very slow when rendering - once started they are quick

This happens whether Im using DR or not. The first buckets seem to sit there a lot longer and then once they have started they go a lot quicker. Its not because those first buckets are rendering anything more complicated either.

Im pretty sure it didnt used to do this in 1.5.

    Any ideas ?
    Regards

Steve, I have noticed this on a couple of scenes too.
    Are you using max 2001?
    Do your scenes have vray/multiscatter?

Max 2011 64bit and multiscatter. Although for this particular preview, all the multiscatter elements are turned off.

Tell a lie. I didnt have all the multscatter elements off. When I do the buckets are fine. Obviously a multiscatter issue....amongst others !
