  • Anyone with problems using mapped Z:?

I always had my server mapped server1/archivio/....then all the projects and 3d library. Everything worked fine. It was suggested to me to start mapping to the Z drive so that I could then easily move things from one computer to another (in the case of having to change server, or to work with another person, ect.) So I did it.....but with all textures mapped to Z only the local computer loads them at render time. None of the render nodes load textures using vray spawner and backburner. If I go to each individual node I am able to access the Z drive. So, each computer does have access to the drive. Though, at render time the nodes do not load the textures. Am I the only one experiencing this? Just want to check before I give up on it and go back to my old method. Thanks.

I used UNC path since working with vray.. wich makes the selected letter kind of obselete.... UNC works way better with DR. I would see no reason to change your old way. If you need to work with somebody else ( I assume outside the office) it takes a few seconds to make a local save and transfer after. My suggestion is stick to UNC path
