  • *warning*: Material returned overbright or invalid color

I am getting 364 of these error messages in my vray log. It was not doing this yesterday with the same scene. Any advice or explanation?

What is the material in question?

It is with lots of materials. From a simple wood to metals and leather. The error message notes the RGB values such as "RGB: -0.00127618 -0.000993459 -0.00063443" etc.

Does it occur if you disable maps from the V-Ray settings?

I just want to pitch in with something i noticed for myself. This problem happens to me sometimes as well when I use standart camera WITH camera correction modifier!
I don't know what is the reason exactly, but when i remove the camerra correction or render from perspective (without camera at all) the problem does not occur.

I hope this helps to some degree.

            Best regards.

Do you use Vertical shift? I think it behaves the same way regarding this issue specifically.

Yes I do use vertical shift. Use it all the time, but this is the first time I have seen this issue. Rendering come out ok, just an annoyance.

I get that message very often as well, but since it always seem to render anyway I tend to just ignore it. I also use camera shifts quite a bit though.....

sometimes standard materials in the scene could have caused this as well
