  • Nasty render crash with vray 2.0 and bercon metaballs / pflow

    Heya Folks,

I'm using pflow to make some simple blood elements with bercon metaballs and I've run into a scene which keeps giving me a nasty render error on one particular frame. I changed a few motion blur / sampling parameters to see if that'd help but it just shifted where the error was happening. No doubt this is something to do with sub frame sampling or topology but just thought I'd pop it up as a problem. No biggy, I think I'll use a different approach to get the element out so if it's just a weird scene thing then no bother!

    Cheers,

    John

It's not a crash per se, looks like that code was compiled with a pre-release version of the 3ds Max SDK, which has all sorts of checks. Did you get the bercon metaballs from my post on the forum?

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Yes I think so - It was the only version of it compiled for vray 2.0 as far as I know?

Yep, just deleted it and reinstalled the version at http://www.spot3d.com/vray/misc/berc...lls_vray20.rar and I get the same compile error - if I continue I get a vray unhandled exception and it crashes. Here's the log if it helps!
