846mb irr map cache causing non responsiveness from max

I rendered this irr map overnight and have started to render the main sequence but it seems vray is causing max to become non responsive when loading in the irr map.

Yep, it is big. I only chose medium-animation from the presets. I just crashed my whole system so really not sure what is happening there. Ive decide to do the irr map again at a lower res. This one should be about 120mb so im hoping this will be ok. Not sure if the quality will be good enough though now.

Are you on Vray 2.0 steve?
I remember there being a problem with a 1.5 build and large irr maps.

Yes on 2.0. Ive knocked down the res/settings for the cache file now so it is working ok, but for the final render im going to need better quality. A bit concerned the render is going to fail.
