ive played around with light/shadow falloff but ive never got it to do anything much.. i dont know if this is a vray issue, or just a lack of understanding of its function.. if it worked like i want it to, it could be pretty powerful. -
Im not worried about it working with GI either. Just needs to work with direct light and shadows. Im wondering if I should replace my vraysun with a max direct light...maybe that's causing the problem.
In terms of functionality it's pretty straight forward. The direct light areas will be more white and the shadow areas will be more black...great for using as a mask in a scene....if I could !
