Just installed 1.5sp6 for 2012 and noticed a problem. Something is wrong with material display - I opened up a building file that worked fine in 2010 but in 2012 not all the maps would show up. Pressing the "show material in viewport" button didn't work, nor did going to "View" / "Show Materials in Viewport as" ... The only way I was able to get the material to show up was to turn on the individual map itself.
Here's simple steps to reproduce:
Starting from a blank file in 2012. Enable "Realisic" mode.
Create a box.
Create a VRayMaterial w/diffuse map & assign to box.
No texture.
Using "View" / "Show Materials in Viewport as" set to either shaded or realistic with maps.
No texture.
Go to material editor and toggle on/off the "Show MATERIAL" in viewport icon.
No texture
Go to diffuse map and toggle on/off the "Show TEXTURE" in viewport icon.
Texture will show
Go back to material root and toggle on/off the "Show MATERIAL" icon
Texture turns off and won't turn back on.
