Scrambled excluded objects with VrayLights

I'm trying to exclude some light fixture objects from VrayLights, but when I add the objects to the Exclude list I get a scramble of other objects. There are a two Xref files attached to the scene. One of which has quite a few objects. The scrambled objects appear to be from the Xref. This happens to any VrayLight in my scene.

Disabling the Xref files and re-enabling them seems to have solved the problem for now. Strange.
