  • Baking AO High To Low - How to ?

    Heya

Hands down I cant figure it out... I try self ill material/light/ambient(all with dirt Map)

Either way I always get to see my Low poly model in parts where it goes outside high poly model.

How u guys do it? I dont want to use mental ray, last time it took IT 2H to render it...

    I have

    Low poly + UVW
    High Poly no UVW

    Thanx ciao.

If you're using render to texture and you're seeing the low poly parts I think maybe your cage isn't setup properly. if you go into the projection modifier for the low poly object, try resetting your cage and using the push slider until it's outside the high poly.

      Yup thats what I did.

When normal map is rendering I can see that low poly model goes outside high poly but normal map come up just fine.
Then I render AO (light map/shadow/complete map or other one) I can see low poly model going outside the high poly.

The Cage is fine - I think its fine for AO pass...

      Thanks, ciao
