Lost license when accessing workstation with logmein

I had a problem with a render last night, so I needed to open it up in max, switch off the vfb region render button and then resubmit to the farm. For some reason I couldn't get vray to find the license server, either through the local IP or license server workstation name, as well as localhost (as the machine was the license server).

Is this a bug or expected behaviour. I didn't think that accessing a workstation with logmein would screw with the IP's / MAC addresses ?

Any ideas?

It could be windows updates, I updated windows 7 for some reason failed to install them and i couldn't get vray license as well so I installed the updates one at the time and it's working now.
